Life Don’t Talk to Me About Life

It’s been an interesting week, it started with Fathers Day, pretty much a non event seeing as my children are not talking to each other, although I did spend it catching up with Motorsport I had recorded ๐Ÿ™‚ The week did’nt get much better, am going through a not sleeping stage again, thank fuck for Netflix is all I can say.
My son has been home from Australia for a month and is driving me up the wall already, he can be so selfish and causes a lot of tension in the house.
Had a new Nurse visit me on Wednesday, she was more interested in my pets than me, we shall see how here visits go.
On the plus side I got to see my grandson briefly, not seen him for a couple of weeks as I was away at Download Festival then my Daughter and Grandson went to spain for a week, damn he is growing fast, an is as cute as ever.
Anyway, just needed to get that off my chest, sorry to bore you all, take care my friends, oh and lastly may I send my condolences to a good friend of mine who lost her mum this week, thinking of you hun.

WTF Dreams

Had the strangest dream last night, not usre if it had anything to do with the tragic death of Dan Wheldon last weekend in Indy Car, but here goes.
I was marshalling at an F1 race, the race took place round the edge of a lake, when I say edge I mean very edge, at one point the care had to jump over a jetty flying a few feet over water before landing back on the track.
At the corner I was standing two cars came together and both went into the lake, I dived in to help the drivers, I pulled one from the water who was unharmed, I the dove back under to rescue the second racer, I found his car nealt parked but there was no sign of him, the strange thing was his helmet and gloves were placed neatly on the floor next to the car.

End of dream, psychoanlyse the if you can ๐Ÿ™‚

Not Mushroom for a Funghi

Heya, has the most sureal weekend last weekend. I recently recieved a letter from someone I have never met saying that my Aunt (who I have never met) was looking to meet me, and was coming over from America for a visit. She is my dad’s sister (I have never met my dad or any of his family). So I agreed thinking it would be just my aunt and uncle I would be meeting. I went to meet them last Saturday along with their friend who had contacted me, it was a lovely day, I found out lots of things about my family I never knew. We arranged to meet again on the Sunday, it turned out my dad had 6 brothers and sisters I never knew about, so when we all met it was scary but amazing, I met aunts, uncles and cousins, we had a great chat, and heave arranged to meet again next month. My Aunt (the original one) lives in America and has 2 children who I have been chatting to via email and Facebook, they are great people ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope to get to meet the one day.

When we went to see them we took the motorhome, the site we stayed on was full of mushrooms / toadstools, here are some pics.

Also some pics ofย  my family ๐Ÿ™‚

A Bridge To Far

Went to Devon for a long weekend, Aug Bank Holiday 2011. Went in the Motorhome, stayed not far from Tiverton in a place called Samford Peveril. We were right on the edge of the canal, which became the focus of our holiday, some beautiful walks, and nice pubs. Found a great pub called the Globe, beautiful beer garden and great food, had the dog with us so it was ideal. On the monday we set out for a walk, wife was in her power assisted wheelchair, the battery of which is supposed to last about 10 miles, we had walked about 4 miles when battery went dead … groan… so I had to push it all the way back, as it is powered it is not meant to be pushed and has quite a bit of resistence on the wheels, but hey, it was great cardiovascular excercise for me lol. Luckily the Globe was on the way back so we made a pitstop there, much beer was drank, was a bit hairy pushing the chair the rest of the way down the canal tow path lol. While we were at the pub our dog fell in love with a spaniel, poor little fella didnt know what to do with himself, was going mad to get at her ๐Ÿ˜‰ was most upset when we had to leave, sulked for the rest of the day. Took some picks of scenes from the canal, also a record of all the bridges we walked under. Had a great time, as you walked along the canal all you could see was fields, and the occasional farmhouse, not a town of industrial estate in sight ๐Ÿ™‚ Also at night when the sky was clear the stars were the brightest I have ever seen, it was fantastic. On the whole, apart from some raint days it was a great break, ideal if you just want to realx, and go for nice walks.

Long Weekend

Heya, it’s been a while since I blogged, to many things going on lol. So last weekend I took a break and went to Somerset for the weekend. Went in the motorhome and stayed on a campsite near Minehead, was a great weekend, lovely weather beautiful surroundings. Found a great little pub, The Brittania, went there on the saturday and there was a Harley Club Rally on nearby so it was packed with bikers, great fun, met loads of nice people. Went again for Sunday lunch, very quiet but still nice ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are some pice of local area, nice talking take care and be safe.

Ouch that hurt

Was out on a lovely ride on my Suzuki Bandit today, riding down some lovely winding national speed limit roads (60mph). I went round quitr a sharp ben so had slowed down to about 40mph only to be greeted by car carnage, tow badly smashed cars and others that had stopped to help/look, I managed to swerve to avoid the cars only to hit a patch of fuel that had leaked from one of the vehicles, the bike slid sideways and downwards, I managed to sliede clear, unluckily the bike hit the whell of one of the cars and flipped, all I remember seeing is bits of my bike flying everywhere in slow motion. I ended up on the pavement on the far side of the road, luckily mostly uninjured, just some bumps, bruises and friction burns. But the bike is a right off. Luckily the drivers of the cars, one of which had no from end left on it were more or less ok, cuts bruises and whiplash. But my biking days are over for a little while. The End (a cheerful sunday story)
